A Personal Perspective. May 2013 Approximately 24 minutes. The film, created as a student project during my Film & Media Studies course, incorporates photos and clips from other libraries in support of my contention that Art in times gone by, unaided by digital technology, was as eloquent as art ever can be. As the assignment required, the film incorporates some of my own work in visual arts.
Down To Zero. August 2012 Approximately 7 minutes. My first film. Produced solo as the introductory assignment in my Film and Media Studies course. The requirements for this project centred on two design features. The first and the most diabolical: the film had to be no more than THREE MINUTES LONG. The second, it had to have an autobiographical element within the story. So, how does a sixty something year old enfold so many wonderful years into just three minutes?
Dead Love. February 2014 A dramatic project for Film & Media Studies. Sentia is dying. She married Lavoro with the unrealistic expectation that Love would be enough. Now, working class reality has embittered her towards him and left her emotionless even towards their small daughter. Has she left the family that survives her loveless and without hope?
Father Pat's Miraculous Golden Jubilee. February 2014. Father Pat, an elderly priest is in love. The object of his pure devotion is a rustic statue of Mary, the Holy Mother, who stands serenely in the shadow of an old barn. On the golden jubilee day of his devotion to her, he sets out to declare and renew his love once again. The film was made for my Lyrical Project in the Film and Media Studies course. If yer've not got a little bit o' th' oirish in yer, yer probly won't get it. ....Sorry.
